Fees & Out-of-Pocket Costs

We are committed to being transparent about the cost of your care. A detailed breakdown of all fees — including consultation fees, procedure costs, hospital fees, and any anticipated out-of-pocket expenses — will be provided to you in writing via email before your appointment or procedure. This allows you to review and ask any questions before proceeding.

At your initial consultation, your surgeon will discuss your treatment options and recommended pathway. Following this, our rooms will send you a full fee estimate by email, which will include:

  • Surgeon's consultation and/or procedure fees
  • The applicable Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) item number(s)
  • The estimated Medicare rebate
  • Any anticipated out-of-pocket (gap) amount payable by you
  • Anaesthetist fees (where applicable — billed separately by the anaesthetist)
  • Hospital or day surgery facility fees (billed separately by the facility)

Private Health Insurance

If you hold private health insurance, we recommend contacting your fund to confirm your level of cover for the proposed procedure before your appointment. Your health fund can advise on any applicable waiting periods, exclusions, or excess amounts that may affect your out-of-pocket costs.

DVA, TAC & WorkCover Patients

If you hold a DVA card or have a TAC or WorkCover claim, please bring your relevant approval documentation to your appointment. Our team will assist with the applicable billing arrangements.

Self-Funded Patients

Patients who choose to self-fund their care are welcome. A full fee estimate will be provided by email following your consultation so you can make an informed decision about proceeding with treatment.
